I am Govinda Das, Founder & Managing Trustee of Govinda’s Gaushala (Govinda’s Charitable Trust). Formerly an Instrumentation and Control Engineer with over 20 years of experience, my heart was drawn to the teachings of the Vedic scriptures through my journey with ISKCON, especially the sacred importance of Cow Protection.
With the blessings of Supreme Lord Sri Govinda and the merciful guidance of our Gurus, Govinda’s Gaushala began in Ambothi Village, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, in November 2018. What started with a few cows and calves has now grown into a loving shelter for over 50+ cows, bulls, and calves.

How We Serve the Cows
We ensure each cow is clean, brushed, and comfortable — just like a loved one should be.
We provide fresh grass, hay, grains, and ayurvedic supplements for health and strength.
Our cows are monitored by vets to ensure their physical wellbeing and timely treatments.
Our gaushala is a peaceful, open space where cows roam freely, rest, and feel secure.
We perform regular Go Pooja, chanting and Vedic rituals to honor and uplift our sacred cows.
We joyfully celebrate Janmashtami, Gopashtami, and other spiritual occasions with the cows.

Inspired by this principle, HG Govinda Das has sacrificed a well-paying professional career to dedicate himself to caring for cows, calves, and bulls.
